Expect some new music from an old-school rock legend.

In an interview with BBC Radio 6, Paul McCartney told interviewer Matt Everitt, “I’m making a new album, which is great fun. I’m in the middle of that.”

The interview covered the former Beatle’s recent reissue of Flowers in the Dirt, his ’80s collaboration with fellow British legend Elvis Costello, whom McCartney compared to his old songwriting partner John Lennon. He also mentioned his recent collaboration with Kanye West, saying “I had no idea what was going to happen. I knew it wasn’t going to be two acoustic guitars.”

Per Billboard, McCartney’s new album will be produced by Greg Kurstin, who’s most recently worked with Beck and also co-wrote and produced Adele’s huge hit, “Hello.” Though Kurstin’s won a gaggle of Grammys for both recent turns, McCartney told Everitt that his “… only worry is people are going to go, ‘Oh, there’s Paul going with the flavor of the month.’”

There is no street date for the album yet.
