Ariana Grande, joined by other pop stars and thousands of fans, paid tribute Sunday night to the victims of last month’s suicide bombing outside her show at the Manchester Arena.
“Tonight is all about love,” Grande told the sold-out at the “One Love Manchester” concert, held in the English city’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground.
She was joined by Pharrell Williams, whose performance of the 2013 track “Get Lucky” seemed to take on a new message of defiance in the face of terrorism: “We’ve come too far to give up who we are,” Williams sang. “So let’s raise the bar and our cups to the stars.”
Also joining Grande to perform, were Miley Cryus, Justin Beiber, Victoria Monét, Katy Perry, Coldplay and the Black Eyed Peas. The concert raised an estimated $2.6 million for the victims of the Manchester bombing, according to Variety.
Grande closed Sunday’s show with a rendition of “Over the Rainbow.”
Security was tight, with officers from both GMP and officers from other forces patrolling, some of whom were armed.

The May 22 suicide bombing outside the Manchester Arena killed 22 people and injured dozens more. On Friday, Grande visited injured fans of the bombing at the hospital to show her support.
