Film is a visual medium, with the result everything filling the frame should matter to the filmmaker. In particular, color is an invaluable tool. The Coen Brothers, for example, deliberately use green to achieve a specific effect in their films.

Lilly Mtz-Seara (also billed as Lidia Mtz-Seara) set out to examine just how recent filmmakers use different shades to convey information, exploring the colors of pink, red, blue, and well, pretty much the whole damn spectrum.
