Preet Bharara is joining CNN as a senior legal analyst, reports the New York PostKnown as the “Sheriff of Wall Street,” he was a U.S. attorney in Manhattan who President Trump fired after originally telling him — shortly after the election — that he wanted Bharara to remain in the federal prosecutor’s post.

So Bharara turned to the media, and now has a Twitter account with 440,000 followers and a podcast called “Stay Tuned with Preet,” reports the NY Post.

The first episode of the podcast aired Wednesday. Bharara said he is unsure why Trump fired him, but ultimately, he believes that if he had stayed, Trump would have asked him to “do something inappropriate,” reports NY Post.

“It’s my strong belief at some point, given the history, the president of the United States would’ve asked me to do something inappropriate,” he said, according to NY Post. “And I would’ve resigned then. I don’t know for a fact, but that’s my strong belief.”

CNN will most likely use Bharara to comment on major investigations and other ethical concerns regarding the Trump administration, Politico writes.
