Hannah Jordan has a rare metabolic condition that prevents her body from storing sugars. When she was younger, she spent years in the hospital as doctors struggled to figure out her condition.
Now, to stay alive, the 15-year-old Tulsa native must wear a backpack at all times that houses a tube attached to her stomach.
The G-Tube pumps sugar into her stomach and keeps her blood sugar at a normal rate.
But none of that slowed her down from being a competitive cyclist. Today, just a few years after she learned to ride a bike, Jordan is competing against adult women across the United States. She is on the brink of becoming a professional cyclist—and has her sights set on the Olympics.
