Australia’s summer might be winding down, but iconic fashion brands from around the world converged in Sydney this past week to don the kind of looks Vogue is calling “unaffected by the world’s current fixations with streetwear, irony, and fashion that pushes the boundaries of acceptable taste. Well, mostly.”
Take a look at some of the glitz and style from this year’s Aussie runway — and appreciate Emilia Wickstead summertime’s capsule at Coogee’s Wylie’s Baths, which Vogue calls the “highlight of the week.” (The baths, which used to be a women-only tidal pool, provided the perfect backdrop for the retro stylings.)
