The lead singer of British rock band Arctic Monkeys has come a long way in his music career—and his style choices. When the band first broke onto the scene, Turner was sporting a Justin Bieber–esque mop top and wearing track jackets far too regularly. In the time since, he’s founded a second band, The Last Shadow Puppets, and become one the most sartorially inclined musicians out there (dating models probably helped).

The best aspect of Turner’s style is that it offers a little something for everybody. His wardrobe is mostly inspired by 1950’s trends—an amalgam of Elvis Presley, Teddy Boy, and biker. The frontman’s hairstyle has also matured with his look. He’s traded in the bowl-cut for a more style-appropriate look that shifts between a pompadour and “the elephant trunk” (when a tuft of hair hangs off to the side). Additionally, Turner has demonstrated his knowledge of formalwear at award shows.

RealClearLife has rounded up Turner’s best looks of late, so you can pick up a few tricks from him for yourself. But first, enjoy the video for “Do I Want to Know?” from his band Arctic Monkeys.
