Though Yoda’s teachings are known around the world, he unfortunately, as a fictional character, was not able to join the founding of the United Nations. But a textbook in Saudi Arabia accidentally included a doctored photograph of King Faisal sitting next to the Star Wars character as the king signs the UN charter, reports The Telegraph

The picture was supposed to illustrate a portion of the King’s rule, but somehow, the book editor’s used a version of the photo that had Yoda sitting beside the monarch.

The Ministry of Education said they “regret the inadvertent error,” according to The Telegraph.

Ahmed al-Eissa, the Saudi education minister, said the ministry has begun printing a corrected copy and is withdrawing the previous versions. They have also formed a “legal committee to determine the source of the error and to take appropriate action,” reports The Telegraph.

The photograph of Yoda and the king is the work of 26-year-old Saudi artist named Abdullah al-Sheri, who said that though he designed it, he did not put it in the book. The picture was part of a series that showed film characters discreetly added to the photographs of major moments in Arab history, reports The Telegraph.

Other images include Darth Vadar standing behind Lawrence of Arabia and the king of Iraq at the Paris peace conference in 1919. Another shows a young boy looking at Captain America, writes The Telegraph.

So why Yoda? al-Sheri said that Yoda’s green skin and green lightsaber matched the green of the Saudi flag, and also, Yoda and the king are both intelligent, The Telegraph reports.

“He was wise and was always strong in his speeches,” al-Shehri said of the king, according to The Telegraph. “So I found that Yoda was the closest character to the king.” He said he means no offense to the king at all.

Al-Shehri found out his photograph was in the textbook when his mother, who is a teacher, saw a copy and told him.
