Angered by Donald Trump, more celebrities have decided to donate to politicians for the first time this year, reports The Daily Beast.

And that seems to be a PR boon for the Democrats.

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel made his first ever political donation during the 2017-18 cycle. He publicly discussed his son’s heart surgery, and said he was “disgusted” by Congress for letting the funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program lapse while they were debating issues like tax cuts, immigration and spending. He has also criticized President Trump repeatedly on his show. This year, Kimmel donated to the campaigns of Texas Democrat Beto O’Rourke—challenger to Sen. Ted Cruz—and Katie Hill in California who is running against a Republican incumbent, according to The Daily Beast.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence has also started donating, though at a smaller scale. She gave her first political donation of $2,000 to Amy McGrath, a Democratic challenger in Kentucky. She is also taking a break from acting while she’s working with Represent.Us, an organization that says they want to get “young people engaged politically on a local level.”

Jennifer Aniston also donated to Congressional campaigns for the first time this year. Alyssa Milano, star in the Charmed series and the new Netflix series Insatiable, donated to Congressional campaigns for the first time in 2017-18 cycle, although she previously donated to Obama’s campaign.
