Its the moment we’ve all been waiting for: The return of the NFL to TV screens. A slew of preseason games start up as we march towards the regular season. Maxim put together a list of everything you need to know as preseason begins.

To Kneel or Not to Kneel: This offseason, the NFL tried to put a lid on the controversy that surrounds players protesting during the national anthem. It didn’t work. The league originally announced that it would punish teams if players didn’t stand at attention while on the sideline for the anthem. But now, games are starting and people aren’t really sure what will happen.

The Quarterbacks: Preseason is usually a time for a team’s second and third string quarterbacks, but the Ravens have Heisman winner Lamar Jackson, who, if he plays like he did in college, will be quite the man to beat.

Injuries: The season hasn’t even started and players are already going down.
