Dating apps make hooking up and falling in love both more convenient than ever, and also, more frustrating. GQ put together a list of what apps are hot and heavy right now and which ones you should be sure to avoid.

Instagram

It’s not just a photo-sharing app anymore. If you think about it, Instagram is a great dating app because it shows your whole life in the very best light.

Coffee Meets Bagel

A recent study showed that this app was most popular with American daters. It sends you one match a day based on your preferences.

Tinder

Tinder has managed to stick around longer than most dating apps, and it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

Match

Match charges users a fee, which is worth remembering because it means that there might be fewer trolls or liars on it. The filtering process is in-depth and you can do location-based searching.

Happn

Happn uses your current location to tell you which of your matches have been in and around your area, no matter where you are. Happn will keep track of how many times you passed in a match in person, which sounds a little creepy, but it happens in romantic comedies, so why not.

Clikd

You set “tests” for romantic suitors, who in turn get you to answer their set questions to see if you’re a match.

Reveal

This app lets all its female love-seekers stay anonymous and guys can only get to see their faces once the women have definitely said they’re interested.

Tramble

Keep your eye on this one. Tramble is an activity-based app and possibly one of the easiest to get involved with. It offers a helping hand to those who don’t know what to do on a date, and also gives you instant icebreakers.
