President Trump tweeted his support for Tomi Lahren, a Fox News pundit who had water thrown at her by another restaurant patron following a brunch in Minneapolis over the weekend.

The president’s tweet came after Lahren appeared on Fox & Friends to discuss the incident. The message of solidarity followed several tweets by Trump referencing reports that the FBI used a confidential source to seek evidence of connections between his election team and Russia during the 2016 campaign.

According to news reports, Lahren was heckled by patrons at the rooftop restaurant and got into a heated exchange before leaving. Lahren, 25, has regularly voiced her support for Trump and has sparked controversy with calls for limited immigration and other conservative views. In January, she publicly apologized for vulgar remarks she made aimed at Rep. Joe Kennedy III. Videos of the weekend’s incident gained national attention.

Some liberals came to Lahren’s defense, including comedian Kathy Griffin.
