Are you interested in aliens? The U.S. government might have the perfect job for you, writes Travel + Leisure. According to a new job posting on the website AECOM, the government is looking to hire cabin crew members for a very special flight. The flights would be operated by the U.S. Air Force and would leave from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. According to Travel + Leisure, these flights typically shuttle government and contract employees to and from Area 51, which is considered on of America’s most mysterious locations. If you believe the conspiracy theorists, this is where the government is trying to reverse engineer alien spacecrafts and where it conducts all extraterrestrial experiments. According to the CIA, the area is a testing ground for the Air Force. Anyone who gets the job will be expected to perform all the regular duties of a steward but the ad also calls for someone who is “level-headed and clear thinking while handling unusual incidents and situations,” which they note as severe turbulence, hijackings or bomb threats. To apply, you must pass a company-operated jet aircraft Emergency Training and Initial Flight Attendant Training and maintain currency as a flight attendant. You also have to be able to perform all physical duties without assistance. The biggest perk? Crew members must “qualify for and maintain a top secret government security clearance and associated work location access.”
