In a spoiler-by-nature teaser clip for the new season of House of Cards, the Netflix show has answered the question of how it will handle Kevin Spacey’s firing from the show in the aftermath of sexual assault accusations.

Kevin Spacey’s Frank Underwood appears to be dead.  According to an article in IndieWire,  the teaser confirms fan speculations of the character’s demise and asserts Robin Wright’s position as the show’s central star. The clip finds Wright’s Claire Underwood standing at Frank’s grave, alone, and delivering harsh words for the character. “When they bury me, it won’t be in my backyard. And when they pay their respects, they’ll have to wait in line,” Claire announces to Frank’s headstone.

House of Cards will return for its first season without Spacey and its final season online on November 2.
