For the second week in a row, Saturday Night Live trained its satirical fire on the controversial fight over Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Just hours after the Senate’s historically narrow 50–48–1 vote approving Kavanaugh to the nation’s highest court, SNL imagined jubilant Senate Republicans celebrating in a locker room as if they’d just won the Super Bowl.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, along with Republican Senators Jeff Flake, Lindsey Graham, and Susan Collins were portrayed as boozy, bragging athletes.
Democrats didn’t get away scot free either. Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer was mocked as a weak and worthless opponent, resigned to yet another defeat at the hands of Republicans.
