Russia Could Be Banned From Competing in the Upcoming Olympics

President Vladimir Putin has warned this would be humiliating for his country.

The International Olympic Committee executive board is meeting to decide whether or not Russia will be allowed to compete in the upcoming Pyeongchang Olympics. The panel is assessing whether or not Russian state agencies organized the doping program used at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. The panel could also decide to let some Russian athletes compete, or instead, impose a fine. Russia has denied a state-sponsored doping program existed.
