The upcoming final season of HBO’s Emmy-winning Game of Thrones is expected to be full of carnage and high-profile deaths — and Peter Dinklage may have just spilled that his character’s blood will be spilled.

In a wide-ranging conversation about his career to date with Vulture, Dinklage touched on the end of Thrones and what it may mean for his cunning character, Tyrion Lannister.

“I feel very, very — I’m trying to find the right word,” Dinklage said when asked how he feels about Tyrion’s storyline. “I think he was given a very good conclusion. No matter what that is — death can be a great way out.”

But it turns out Dinklage may have been as crafty with his words as his onscreen alter ego.

The interviewer hinted in an aside that he didn’t necessarily believe Dinklage was alluding to a grisly end for the fan favorite Lannister, “but rather his attempt to leave open the possibility that the character might meet that fate.”
