Myspace, at one time the most popular social media site in the universe, has accidentally deleted all the posts made from 2003 through 2015 —including songs, photos, and videos.

Some will breathe a sigh of relief, that their 15-year-old pictures from college of drunken partying has been deleted! Others, however, are outraged that a time capsule of memories is suddenly gone.

Over a year ago, the remaining Myspace users began to notice older links were broken. The social network said initially that it was bug and was being fixed, but that never happened. It turns out in stead that approximately 50 million mp3 files have been lost.

“As a result of a server migration project, any photos, videos, and audio files you uploaded more than three years ago may no longer be available on or from Myspace,” the social network said in a statement. “We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest that you retain your back up copies.”

Last year AV Club reported that several celebrity Myspace pages were completely broken, now there is an answer as to why.
