Annabel’s is the most famous private club in London. Since it was founded in 1963 by entrepreneur Mark Birley, Annabel’s has been the preferred hangout for the most rich and famous: Hollywood stars, international jet-setters and royalty. It is said to be the only club the queen has ever (officially) been to, according to Town & Country. The new location, which will include restaurants, bars, and a nightclub that can all be rented out by members for private parties, may be the destination of the afterparty of the upcoming royal wedding. “It’s the most famous private club in London. Any event held here will go down in history,” says Jemma Cave, the design director for de Gournay, whose bespoke wallpaper was used by designer Martin Brudnizki—in addition to murals by Gary Myatt, furniture by Davison Highley, and lighting by Villaverde.
