Late-night comedians slammed the president Thursday night after it was announced that the meeting between he and Kim Jong-un was canceled.

“Trump canceled the meeting with North Korea over their, quote, ‘tremendous anger and open hostility’ — which is ironic, considering ‘Tremendous Anger and Open Hostility’ is Trump’s 2020 campaign slogan,” James Corden cracked.

“Now we also have to figure out what to do with these Korean summit commemorative coins Trump’s people had made up. Maybe they can become the official currency of the apocalypse?” Jimmy Kimmel suggested.

Seth Meyers, who actually purchased one of the official coins, suggested that he should have known the talks would fall through.

“It’s my fault. I should have learned my lesson after I bought commemorative coins for the Completed Border Wall, Biggest Inauguration Ever, Anthony Scaramucci’s First 100 Days on the Job, Cleared of All Charges and ‘People’s’ Sexiest Man Alive,’” he lamented.
