The comedian called it “the most embarrassing, bold-faced presidential lie since Clinton and the oral sex.”

Jimmy Kimmel continued to eviscerate the Trump administration on Wednesday after the president walked back his comments on Russia meddling in the 2016 election.

“Yesterday [President Trump] made the very shabby claim that when he said he didn’t see any reason why Russia ‘would’ hack the election, he meant to say he didn’t see any reason why they ‘wouldn’t’ hack the election,” Kimmel said, “which was a ridiculous claim that no one believes, with the possible exception of the morning suck-ups at Fox & Friends.”

Kimmel name-checked Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt for comments that Kimmel said downplayed the significance of the flip-flop.

“…He misspeaks one word, one contraction—he forgot to put the ‘n’t’ at the end of ‘wouldn’t’—and it ruins the whole summit?” Earhardt said.

Kimmel wasn’t having it, saying: “That’s like saying one little flame on the Hindenburg ruined the whole ride on the blimp.”
