Warner Bros CEO Kevin Tsujihara is stepping down from his position, effective immediately, amid an investigation into his potential sexual impropriety.

“It is in the best interest of WarnerMedia, Warner Bros., our employees and our partners for Kevin to step down as Chairman and CEO of Warner Bros.,” said WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey in a statement, according to Deadline. “Kevin has contributed greatly to the studio’s success over the past 25 years and for that we thank him. Kevin acknowledges that his mistakes are inconsistent with the Company’s leadership expectations and could impact the Company’s ability to execute going forward.”

WarnerMedia is working with a third-party law firm on an investigation following the recent release of texts that revolve around the executive’s involvement in casting British actress Charlotte Kirk in WB movies Ocean’s 8 and How to Be Single after having an extramarital affair with her.

The Hollywood Reporter released the texts, which appear to that Tsujihara promoted Kirk for roles in company films while they carried on a sexual relationship.
