It would have been just another week of lampooning the Trump Administration on Saturday Night Live, but the sheer volume of guest stars on this weekend’s cold open made it something to watch.

Once again, the NBC sketch comedy series opened with a spoof of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, with Alex Moffat as the TV host, and paraded out Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions for a couple of jokes about the firing of former F.B.I. Deputy Director Andrew G. McCabe days before his retirement.

But viewers got a mild surprise when John Goodman dropped in to impersonate just fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, complete with a drinking glass crushing tirade.

“It’s crazy one day how you’re the CEO of Exxon and the next day you get fired by a man who used to sell steaks in the mail,” Goodman’s Tillerson huffed.

The show wasn’t done with its big-name cameos: Host and former SNL regular Bill Hader reprised his impersonation of Anthony Scaramucci, while another series vet, Fred Armisen, dusted off his Michael Wolff impression.

Despite the impressive roster, it wasn’t all Fire and Fury. Judge for yourself in the clip below.
