Can a supercharged 1971 Ford Pinto beat a Ferrari 488 GTB in a drag race?

We strongly doubt it – but we’re very willing to find out by watching Netflix’s Fastest Car.

The streaming service’s first global original motor series, Fastest Car will pit homemade hot rods engine-to-engine against exotic supercars.

In each hour-long episode, a trio of “souped-up sleeper” cars will take on “one of the world’s most sought-after supercars” in a straight-ahead race.

We’re not sure about all the models that’ll be featured in the show, but Netflix mentions a 1984 Buick Grand National, a McLaren MP4, a 1984 Honda CRX, a Ferrari California, a 2011 Pontiac minivan and a Porsche GT3.

All eight episodes drop on April 6 and, like the cars in ‘em, people will be bingeing the show fast.
