Hillary Clinton made a cameo in the debut episode of the Murphy Brown revival which aired Thursday night. Clinton’s appearance was kept under extreme secrecy until the CBS broadcast, as she joined for two minutes as “Hilary” Clinton, a version of herself applying to be Murphy’s assistant.

Clinton’s answers to Murphy’s interview questions are delivered with a near-wink. When asked if she has the requisite secretarial experience, she tells Candice Bergen’s Murphy that she has “some experience with emails.”

The Murphy Brown cameo is one of three CBS appearances Clinton will make over the course of a month. She guested on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert last week, and on October she will make another cameo on Madam Secretary. Clinton will also serve as executive producer of the TV adaption of Elaine Weiss’ book The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to Win the Vote, which has been snapped up by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV.
