Henry Cavill has an answer for who will play the next James Bond when Daniel Craig steps down after the next installment: Himself.

The British Man of Steel and Mission:Impossible — Fallout star told Yahoo Movies that he would love to take the opportunity if it were ever presented to him.

“I would love to do it, of course,” Cavill said, according to Maxim. “I think Bond would be a really fun role. It’s British, it’s cool.”

Cavill continued: “I think that now that I have my Mission: Impossible badge we can do real stunts and really amp it up as well.”

We’ve already seen what Cavill can do, thanks to two of the great action franchises of our time, so it makes sense that he would be interested in playing the world’s deadliest spy.

“I’d love to play a Brit,” he said, according to Maxim. “I don’t get to play a Brit very often. So yes, I would love the opportunity and if they were to ask I would say ‘yes.’”

It is still up in the air who would become the next 007, and everyone from Tom Hardy to Charlize Theron has been tossed around. Fans have one last chance to see Craig in the role when Bond 25 hits theaters Nov. 8, 2019.
