Gal Gadot is reportedly in talks to play Austrian-born actress of the silver screen, Hedy Lamarr, reports Town & Country. Lamarr was an MGM star in the late ’30s, ’40s and ’50s, and appeared in movies like Samson and Delilah, the highest grossing film of 1949, and Boom Town with Clark Gable and Spencer Tracy. Lamarr was frequently considered to be one of the most beautiful women in the world, and Snow White’s iconic princess aesthetic was modeled after her, reports Town & Country.
But Lamarr’s off-screen accomplishments far outweigh what she did on-screen. Lamarr was an inventor, and discovered a frequency-based technology that would later be used in Wi-Fi, GPS, and bluetooth.
Variety writes that “Gadot is near a deal to star in and executive produce a Showtime series based on the life and career of Hedy Lamarr.” The show would be a mini-series.
Lamarr’s life has been under the spotlight a lot recently, including a documentary, Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story, which came out last year. You can watch the trailer for that below.Read the full story at Town & Country
