Hunky Chris Hemsworth is set to play the hulky Hulk Hogan in a new biopic directed by Todd Phillips.

The film reunites the director with DC Comics movie The Joker writer John Pollono, who will co-write the biopic with Phillips.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers on the soon-to-close Netflix project include Hemsworth, Phillips, Bradley Cooper, Michael Sugar, and Eric Bischoff.

The deal took months to put together and includes the life rights of the WWF superstar.

The movie is described as a origin story for Hulkamania and the Hulkster, who, at the height of his career, took on the likes of Andre the Giant and hulked out on late night TV shows and on the cover of every magazine.

Shying away from Hogan’s most recent life’s events (reality TV stardom and suing Gawker), the biopic will focus on the rise of Hogan’s career in the late 1970s and into the ‘80s. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea, will serve as a consultant on the film and executive producer.
