Macallan has opened their brand new distillery in Scotland, located in the spiraling mountains of Speyside. The property is infinitely better than the previous version, which failed to provide an exclusive visitor experience. The new-and-improved building cost about $190 million but is designed to produce up to a third more whisky than its predecessor, thanks partly to the 36 new copper stalls built by Forsyths. There is also a giant visitor space that feature interactive “pillars,” a moving glass sculpture, and a significant collection of 398 bottles. You can also take home souvenirs from an exclusive gift shop.

But one of the best parts is the green roof of the building that is made up of 380,000 individual components, all adorned with native grasses and wildflowers, writes Luxury Launches.
