For Sale: The Rugged Dune Buggies Featured in HBO’s ‘Westworld’

The show featured modified versions of the 172-hp Can-Am Maverick X3, which cost $30,000.

The season two premiere of Westworld was awesome, but one thing stood out to fans: the murdered-out Delos Inc. dune buggies. Inquiries were posted to Reddit and Imgur asking about the machines’ manufacturer and one user correctly identified the model as a Can-Am Maverick X3, specifically, the four-seat, Max X RS Turbo R, according to Maxim. The vehicles shown in Westworld have beefier tires and no doors, but other than that, the same versions are available to the public for a little less than $30,000.

The entry-level Maverick X3 900 HO puts out a formidable 120 HP, but the top-of-the-line models featured in the HBO show get an extra 52 horses out of the 900-cc Triple-cylinder engine courtesy of a turbocharger. This means the buggie can go to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

All of four Can-Am’s Maverick X3 Max Turbo models will cost you over $20,000, but if you really want to re-enact Westworld, you’ll need to pay $29,400 for the “RS.”
