See Banksy Reveal How He Made Shredder Frame for Infamous Art Stunt

The graffiti artist Banksy published a video detailing how his now-infamous artwork destroyed itself after being sold at auction.

The artist had installed a shredder into the frame of one his best known works, “Girl With Ballon.”

The piece was the final item in an auction held at Sotheby’s in London. The sale price equalled the artist’s previous auction record of about $1.35 million. Right after the piece was sold, the work of art self-destructed.
