It seems as if Marvel’s tactic of carpet bombing the multiplex with new superhero movies is going to continue to work out for the studio in 2019 — at least according to a new Fandango survey.

The poll, based on the responses of more than 3,500 moviegoers, found Avengers: Endgame to be the most anticipated movie of 2019, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“The popularity of superhero movies is at an all-time high as we head into the new year,” Fandango managing editor Erik Davis said in a statement. “Marvel fans are particularly anxious for the final Avengers chapter after that Infinity War cliffhanger, and are eagerly awaiting the studio’s first standalone female superhero, Captain Marvel.”

Disney studio execs should be encouraged by the polls findings as well, with one of its other big titles for 2019, Star Wars: Episode IX, also making the cut.

In fact, rounding out the rest of the list was Captain Marvel, Pixar’s Toy Story 4, the live-action updates of both The Lion King and Aladdin — all Disney movies.

Also making the cut: DC’s Joker, Tom Hanks as Mr. Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, the untitled Jumanji sequel, and M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable and Split sequel, Glass.
