A fake account on Twitter is impersonating Warren Buffett, the 87-year-old American investor. The account has almost 300,000 likes on its debut tweet, which contained “advice for all the young people.”

The account has tricked journalists and politicians as well. BBC writes that the real Warren Buffett, CEO of the conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway, does indeed have a Twitter account, but it is rarely used. He has not tweeted in about two years. The fake inspirational account has some tell-tale signs of being fake: It does not have a blue tick, showing that it is verified, and not only does it have limited activity, but Buffett’s name is spelled wrong — it is missing a “t.” But that doesn’t mean people don’t love the inspiration its sharing.
