World Record Holder for Inverted Flat Spins Records Aerobatic Flight

RealClearLife has shown you what it’s like to explode into space, be inside of a college football scrum, and the results of mixing ballooning and guns—all with some GoPro component involved. While we could go on and on about all the daring athletes we’ve covered, we bow down especially low to pilot Spencer Suderman. A data center strategist at the Walt Disney Co. by day and aerobatic pilot by night, Suderman recently set the Guinness World Record for the most inverted flat spins, completing a jaw-dropping 98 in his signature red Sunbird S1X biplane.

Suderman began flying back in the 1980s, and after getting the aerobatic bug early, is now making regular appearances at airshows across the U.S. Watch Suderman as he effortlessly falls into flat spin after flat spin below. For more of his feats of airborne bravery, visit his YouTube page.
