Bugatti Chiron Supercar Sets New World Speed Record

Luxury car goes from 0-249 mph in 41.96 seconds on test track.

The next time you’re pulling onto the Major Deegan Expressway and see what looks like a blur in front of you, it could be someone in a Bugatti Chiron.

According to the luxury automobile maker, the Chiron has broken a world speed record. With Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya at the wheel, the Chiron went from 0-249 mph in just 41.96 seconds—transporting the speeding car nearly two miles.
