The futuristic flying bikes from Star Wars may soon arrive here on Earth.

The Russian company Hoversurf unveiled the Scorpion-3, essentially a giant quadcopter with a seat, which is being billed as the world’s first hoverbike.

Powered by an electric battery, Scorpion-3’s design was inspired by a motorcycle frame. Though it’s human controlled, the flying vehicle has built-in speed and altitude controls. The hoverbike is “for the moment…. an extreme sports instrument,” the company’s website trumpets. The flying bike got its start as a crowdfunding project, but no timeline has been announced for its release on the market.
