The dark red Ferrari 275 GTS/4 NART Spider makes a short but memorable cameo in 1968’s The Thomas Crown Affair, starring Steve McQueen. In the movie, that “red Italian thing” belonged to Faye Dunaway’s character Vicki Anderson; in reality, McQueen purchased one for himself. The one RM Sotheby’s is auctioning off in Monaco on May 14 is not the car from the movie, but it’s the last of 10 produced and the only one sold new in Europe.
