There are literally hundreds of noggin-related puns we want to make about an art installation project that’s been set up in New York City’s Socrates Sculpture Park that it’s hurting our, well, head.
As part of the park’s Emerging Artist Fellowship Exhibition—which is open now and runs through March 13, 2017—artist Bryan Zanisnik decided to pay homage to one of Queens’ fortunate sons: Christopher Walken.
Calling the installation “Monument to Walken,” Zanisnik collaborated with comic artist Eric Winkler to create a garden consisting of concrete busts of Walken, along with a comic that tells a tale of the artist’s adventures in the park and discovery of Walken’s close ties to Astoria, Queens, where the park is located.
