All he needed was a love of the movie Tron, a mountain bike, and a whole lot of LED lights.
Filmmaker Mike Gamble had a far-fetched idea to turn a bike into one of the light cycles from the 1981 sci-fi classic. Gamble teamed up with visual effects creator Tom Wood, and after months of tinkering, succeeded in realizing his vision.
At first glance, the bikes are little underwhelming but the light trail effect that kicks in half-way through the film below is mind-blowing. Watch Neve Abraham, Felix Abraham, Ruben Guibert tear up some trails at Whistler in the video below.
