Imaginactive designers Charles Bombardier and Olivie Asford Parent must’ve been fans of the Transformers when they were kids, because their latest concept appears to be stripped directly from the Saturday morning cartoon.

The pair have produced the concept for a spherical two-person vehicle they’re calling the Libelule. With two large, durable wheels affixed to its sides, the Libelule can hit just about any surface on land or expertly handle itself through mud and muck. Then it can seamlessly shift into “marine mode,” as the wheels become like the paddle wheels on a Mississippi riverboat. From there, the Libelule can dive into “underwater mode,” with sensors telling passengers to prepare for submersion. They would then don scuba gear, and the cockpit would fill up with water. (Underwater maneuvering would be possible via the side-wheels, as well as a special tail section that would deploy.)

Bombardier envisions the vehicle being used by high-end resorts for day trips at sea or on the beach. He also foresees it being one day affordable enough for recreational use on a lake.
